Oh, The Places You'll Go!

Oh, The Places You'll Go!

I've seen quite a number of blogs that range between lifestyle, fashion, cooking, or traveling. Many writers have created their own ways of sharing their traveling wisdom, so it's safe to say that while I may create a corky list here and there, I think you'll start to get a better grasp of who I am when I share my personal stories. Traveling is crazy, scary, exciting, liberating, fun, and sometimes very hard, meaning it will bring out things about yourself that you didn't know. For example, I was never a fan of wine. But a bottle later, there I was, pondering how great Olivia Pope's fancy stuff might taste.

I could go into detail about the time I went to Rome with a few friends and was convinced that a gelato shop with a purple logo I had seen only 4 months earlier had been closed and a new one down the same street had replaced it - when in reality that shop was always blue. Or how on that same trip I saved my roommate and instant BFF when she was choking on bread because we were making her laugh while she was eating. And I will get to these and many other stories, but for right now, it's just easier to list what's included in these weekly posts: some helpful information about traveling, a few cautionary stories, the chance to question my sanity, and you might just shed a tear or two - from the laughter, of course.

When all is said and done, my goal with this website really is to pass on any tips on dressing styles, restaurants, safety, and transportation for the various cities I've visited. And, on the off chance that you look at my pictures and read my passion and change your travel itinerary because you want to visit a place you've never heard of before (insert Safranbolu, Turkey plug here!), that'd be totally worth it, too! I'm here to help in any way that I can, so please send any questions to hi@yazlizlive.com and I'll respond as knowledgable as I can!

Until my next post,
